PIZZA PERSON/SERVER/CLEANING CREW

Position Summary - Responsibilities and Expectations:

The Pizza person is the in charge of Pizza Station within a convenience store. Do you like working with people, making them happy, and being surrounded by delicious food? Then you might be ready for a Pizza Person or Server job. Your job is to make pizza and serve food to the customer. Pizza Person must follow Hunt Brothers Pizza guidelines all time.

Work Oven Station:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Refill all food station items, etc.
  • Assemble food product and place items on a tray.
  • Place food product in a pre-heated oven; remove food product when finished and build to completion.
  • Place food product in appropriate container and bring completed product to register station under warmers.
  • Follow proper coding procedures. Check expiration codes and inspect all items once during shift. Pull expired items, document and discard.
  • Keep work oven area stocked by moving product from freezer and/or cold box to the work station.
  • Perform the following physical behaviors continuously throughout their shift: walking, standing, handling, reaching horizontally, reaching above shoulder and grasping firmly.
  • Perform the following physical behaviors frequently during their shift: pushing buttons.
  • Perform the following physical behaviors occasionally during their shift: bending, stooping, squatting, climbing and balancing on step ladder and reaching below the waist.
  • Constantly lift weights up to 10 lbs.
  • Frequently lift weights of up to 12.5 lbs.
  • Frequently carry weights of up 12.5 lbs within a 40 ft distance.
  • Work safely with equipment that can create and hold very high temperatures using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Coffee Area:

Essential Job Duties:

  • Work in the coffee area and observe coffee thermals to determine need for refills.
  • Fill coffee basket with filter and coffee grinds; brew coffee.
  • Carry coffee thermals from brewing area to coffee station as needed.
  • Stock cups, lids, straws, coffee mixers and milk/cream on Coffee Island.
  • Fill and maintain cappuccino machine.
  • Keep entire coffee area clean.
  • Perform the following physical behaviors continuously throughout their shift: walking, standing, handling, reaching horizontally, reaching above the shoulder, and grasping firmly.
  • Perform the following physical behaviors frequently during their shift: bending, stooping, and squatting, pushing coffee cart.
  • Perform the following physical behaviors occasionally during their shift: climbing step ladder in stock.
  • Work safely with equipment that can create and hold very high temperatures using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Other Job Duties:

  • Retrieve cardboard boxes of coffee bags from stock room and carries to coffee station.
  • Use sharp appliance to open seal on taped cardboard boxes.
  • Use cutter to rip open coffee bags.
  • Take out trash.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Complete indoor housekeeping functions including cleaning, dusting, mopping and emptying trash in all areas of the store. Work with a variety of cleaning supplies and chemicals. Some housekeeping functions will require the use of a ladder.
  • Complete outdoor housekeeping functions including cleaning, power washing, sweeping, picking up and emptying trash, and keeping sidewalks/parking lot safe. Work with a variety of cleaning supplies and chemicals, salt, spill absorbents, etc.
  • Stock shelves with products and supplies to ensure in stock conditions at all times including dry storage, deli area, refrigerated/freezer items and grocery items.
  • Work in cold box and/or freezer for extended periods of time in temperatures around or below freezing. Stack, lift, move, and empty filled crates. Use a ladder when stocking higher shelves.
  • Check expiration codes and inspect all items once during shift. Properly rotate product, pull expired items, document and discard.
  • Use a handheld device to record and use inventory. Include checking in external and internal vendors according to corporate procedures.
  • Responsible for taking out trash. Operate trash and/or cardboard compactor.
  • Stocking and cleaning the beverage area.
  • Must be able to adapt to abrupt temperature changes when moving from one environment to another.
  • Follow all safety and security initiatives.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in Policy Manual, training materials and other publications.
  • Provide a pleasant shopping experience for all customers and respond to customer requests in a timely fashion.
  • Communicate with store manager regarding customer requests and vendor-related concerns.
  • Must be able to perform other duties as assigned by store management.
  • Lead by example by acting safely at all times and prevent others around you from acting in an unsafe manner.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
  • Follow all current safety standards.
  • Ensure safe working conditions by maintaining a clean, organized store in accordance to standards.

Personnel:

  • Advise all the employees working for FastStop of any personnel situations or policy violations having an adverse effect on store operating performance.
  • Treat all associates with dignity and respect and use proper personnel management techniques.

Customer Service:

  • Promote and ensure a safe, positive, public image within the neighboring community.
  • Greet customers and provide an enjoyable shopping experience for all customers. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner. Utilize the GREAT customer service model to ensure customer engagement.
  • Ensure prompt, efficient and courteous customer service.
  • Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely professional manner
  • Greet and thank you all customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Suggest possible purchases to the customer and promote store sales

Job Specifications:

A. Knowledge/Education/Experience:

  • A valid driver’s license and adequate transportation.
  • ServSafe Certification is required for this position
  • Accountable for large amounts of cash

B. Skills:

  • Ability to operate the store computer and electronic systems.

C. Abilities Required (work characteristics, behaviors):

  • Ability to work weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work independently

D. Physical Requirements:

  • Stocking may require lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Intermittent sitting, standing, or bending
  • Exposure to cold temperatures when stocking refrigerator units
  • Ability to use safety equipment, including dolly, or hand cart for lifting heavy boxes or other store items, ladders, and grills or deep cooking fryers

Full-time employees must work at least thirty-two (32) hours, but are to be regularly scheduled for no more than forty (40) hours per week. All hours worked in excess of forty hours per week will be paid overtime at one and one-half times the straight hourly rate. New employees will be on a ninety (90) day introductory period, after which their performance and continued employment will be evaluated.
